Royal Caribbean Removes a Word From Its Most Popular Destination

Royal Caribbean has dropped the "at" in the name of its private Bahamian destination, now Perfect Day CocoCay. The preposition has been removed from marketing materials, the cruise line's website, and the booking engine.

No explanation has been offered for the change, but it does align better with the names of other Royal Caribbean private destinations. Royal Caribbean guests will no longer have a Perfect Day at CocoCay, but they will still enjoy Perfect Day CocoCay as a top destination in the Bahamas. Read that again: Royal Caribbean has dropped the "at" from the private island's official name and now it is simply "Perfect Day CocoCay" rather than "Perfect Day at CocoCay." The cruise line confirmed the stylistic change with a short video posted on social media showcasing one of the performers who welcomes guests to the destination.

Filmed on the pier with the "CocoCay" sign in the background, the funny video has the performer in a pirate costume enthusiastically welcoming guests with the phrase "Welcome to a Perfect Day at CocoCay!" but each time she says "at" her voice is bleeped out with a brief ship's horn sound and her mouth is covered with an ice cream…
