Railbookers reports a spike in demand for travel in the latter half of 2023, with nearly 54% of all bookings in the last six weeks departing before the end of December.The company says the trips are not just long weekend getaways either, with an average duration of eight nights for those same-year vacations. In response to the demand, Railbookers has extended its reservations department’s hours of operation, with Rail Experts available for instant quotes and bookings from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST.Additionally, Railbookers has extended its flash sale through Friday, August 18. Travellers can save up to $500 off any vacation Railbookers offers. In addition, travel advisors booking a 2023-departing vacation for their clients will continue to receive a gift card up to $100.
“The demand for last-minute bookings in 2023 is unbelievable, even as we head towards the final few months,” said President & CEO Frank Marini. “With inventory on the train, hotels and sightseeing activities available, we make last-minute bookings easy for our travel agent partners and their clients.”The Railbookers travel agent gift card incentive provides up to $100 in a gift card to agents for every booking of 10 or more nights for departure in 2023. Bookings of 7-9 nights receive a $50 gift card while a 3-6 night booking earns the agent a $25 gift card.
