About the conclusion of a cooperation agreement with Oriental Land Tokyo Co., Ltd. regarding the cruise business in the Port of Tokyo
We would like to inform you that Oriental Land Co., Ltd. has signed a cooperation agreement with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government for the aim of developing its Japan-based cruise business, with the Port of Tokyo as its main departure and arrival base and to cooperate on related initiatives.
According to this agreement, the two sides will cooperate and promote efforts in creating an environment for the implementation of the cruise business, activities to raise children with a rich heart through the cruise business, business activities that respect diversity, and creating excitement in the Tokyo Rinkai sub-city center area.
In order to develop our cruise business, we will start shipbuilding in fiscal 2025 and aim to launch in fiscal 2028. Based on this agreement, we will work in cooperation with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to realize our unique leisure called “Family Entertainment Cruise”

Oriental Land Company, LTD announced via a press release on July 9, 2024 the launch of a new business project, a licensing agreement for a cruise business with Disney Enterprises, Inc to bring Disney Cruises to Japan with service expected to start in fiscal year 2028.
The new Wish Class cruise ship build will be about 140,000 gross tons, with capacity for about 4000 passengers and 1500 crew – which is slightly larger than the Wish class. MEYER WERFT has been selected to build the new vessel scheduled to be delivered by the shipyard in calendar year 2028 and enter service in early 2029.
